Happy 6th Birthday to Audrey!

It's hard to believe that it has been 6 years since Audrey came wriggling out into this great big world.  Ever since her arrival she has firmly made her mark as the passionate and inquisitive member of the family.   She is ornery and tenderhearted, all wrapped up into one perfect little girl (on most days anyway).  Our lives are brighter with her in it and we are forever grateful to call her our daughter.

She awoke to Steven singing Happy Birthday to her and I attempted to make her a pancake in the shape of the number 6 but failed miserably.
She is not a morning person making her so my child.
At school she was given the royal treatment.  She was presented with a birthday hat, card, and pencil.  Her class sang to her as well.  For dinner I made her favorite; macaroni and cheese.  Afterward, her grandparents & Aunts Natalie and Amanda joined us for cake and presents.

Among other things, she received doll clothes and a trunk to put them in.
Pausing briefly to smile for a picture, then it was back to ripping open presents.
The birthday cake

There were a lot of candles on that cake.

Make a wish!!
Now the count down is on for her friend party on Saturday.  We are throwing an American Girl Party and our house is sure to be filled with the sounds of many giggling girls.  Happy Birthday Sweet Audrey!
