Stranger Danger . . . What's That?!

I guess you could say that I am shy (until you get to know me, then I never shut up). I do not go out of my way to make myself noticed and I am a home body. When I go grocery shopping, for example, I just want to get in, grab my groceries, and get out. I have no desire to chit chat because I am there for business. However, when Audrey is with me it is a different story. She talks to everybody. This morning we did our grocery shopping & while we were in the chip aisle there was a man and a woman stocking the chips. To the woman she says, "Hi. What is your name?" The woman kindly responds and asks Audrey for her name. Then she says to the man, "Hi. What's your name?" To which the man responds, and strikes up a conversation with her. All the while I am blushing and just really wanting to continue with my shopping. Later she winked at a couple young boys her age and said hi to some random strangers.

When we finally made it to the check out, you guessed it, she starts talking to the cashier.

"Hi, what is your name?"

"My name is Pam, what is your name?"

"My name is Audrey and this is my friend, mommy".

After paying for my groceries she yells bye to everyone on our way out. The above story is true for everywhere we go and it happens every. single. time. I guess you could say that our conversation about not talking to strangers went in one ear and out the other. Stranger danger; what's that?
